Description of Works
This project at The Entrance centred around the reconstruction and extension of a 3,300m2 asphalt car park.
Environmental management of the project was of particular importance considering the sensitive nature of the site, with the area draining directly into the adjacent channel. North Shore Paving was able to successfully prevent release of sediment from site despite very heavy rainfalls during construction. This was achieved with silt fencing, multiple layers of sediments socks and careful and flexible construction management, including the postponement of construction activities prior to forecast heavy rain.
Heavy patching methods were proposed by NSP, with failed pavement areas requiring heavy patching being determined in consultation with Council.
