Description of Works

North Shore Paving was contracted by the NSW Department of Education to undertake a reconstruction of the existing asphalt playground at Middle Harbour Public School, Mosman.

The scope of works for the 2,700m2 playground area included; full depth pavement reconstruction, a new grated drain and connection to nearby stormwater pit and playground linemarking.

Full depth pavement reconstruction works involved profiling/excavation of the existing pavement to subgrade level, trim and compact of the subgrade, installation of a 190mm thick road base layer and a 40mm thick asphalt wearing course.

North Shore Paving’s own plant and equipment was extensively utilised for the project. This machinery was operated by our experienced asphalt and civil crews and included; a grader, an asphalt paving machine, excavators, watercart, bobcats and rollers.
